Lynne Scott

Lynne has been playing, learning, teaching and dancing to Scottish Country Dance music for 25 years, in New Zealand, Australia, Germany, France, Scotland and the US. She plays fiddle for SCD in her dance bands Wild Heather and Strings Attached, piano accompaniment or fiddle for classes and social dancing, and accordion in her ceilidh band, Schiehallion. For extra fun, Lynne plays violin in a local orchestra, and viola in a chamber pop band.
She is also the NZ Branch Music Adviser, giving NZ’s tutors, dancers and musicians an avenue for advice, comment and musical mentoring.
Lynne and James live in a peaceful spot by the Hutt River, where her expanding garden competes for her time with her music. And in her spare time, Lynne is a Lower Hutt teacher of… music!
